At age 23 , Ben started Griner Landscape, a landscape contracting and construction business. Ben managed to grow his business up to 20 employees (including 8 seasonal workers) while working as a firefighter paramedic in his spare time.
In college , Ben took over the first aid and training at WSU, managing 12 instructors and overseeing certification for 15,000 individuals. He turned this once money-losing division into the most profitable division on campus besides parking.
In high school , Ben ran a lucrative business selling basketball cards out of his locker during junior varsity games. The faculty shut him down when they realized hot dogs and Coke sales were down at the concession stand.
